Exchanging Subscription Tickets

Opera Australia Subscribers are able to exchange their tickets for a different performance, or a different opera.  This service is not available to customers who are not subscribers.

As subscription tickets are only sold by Opera Australia, tickets can only be exchanged directly through Opera Australia. Ticket exchanges are not available via venue box offices.

Exchanging your tickets is easy.

  1. Call Opera Australia on one of the numbers below and tell us which performance you would like to move into. 
  2. We will find the best available tickets for you. If there are any upgrade fees or exchange fees as a result of the transaction, we will advise of you this at the time of the booking.
  3. Mail your original tickets to our reply paid address below (no stamp is required).
  4. We will forward your new tickets to you or hold them at the Box Office for collection when next you attend the opera.

Opera Australia Ticket Services is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

There is also always a representative from Opera Australia present at the theatre prior to performances so you're welcome to leave any exchange requests with them, and someone from Opera Australia Ticket Services will process the exchange the next business day.
