Rehearsal Observation and Workshop

Catching a stage rehearsal in the days before the opening night is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn first hand about artistic processes and opera. In Opera Australia's Rehearsal Observation and Workshop program students observe over 60 minutes of a stage rehearsal, and then participate in a 45 minute, interactive workshop with members of the performing and production company.
Pre-visit learning resources include:
- Writing, learning and creative activities for students
- Learning outcomes for each activity
- Classroom PowerPoint presentations - "History of opera", "An Introduction to Verdi", and "La Traviata the opera"
- List of useful web resources
This program is currently being offered free of charge to schools in Western Sydney.
South Pacific Performing Arts Workshop

Working and learning directly from leading performing arts professionals is a not to be missed opportunity for students. Gifted and talented performing arts students will work with the stars and artistic leaders of the South Pacific Performing Company. This two hour, in-theatre, performance based workshop will culminate in performance of a scene from South Pacific. This program is being offered free of charge to gifted and talented students at Opera Australia partner schools.
