The Syndicate Circle
Join the Syndicate Circle and you’ll help us present ambitious new productions. Since 2010, our syndicate donors have enabled us to present big and expensive projects including Wagner’s epic Ring Cycle in 2013 and 2016, the Mozart/Da Ponte trilogy staged by Sir David McVicar between 2014 and 2016, less performed operas like Wozzeck, and new commissions such as Whiteley, written by Elena Kats-Chernin.
By joining the Syndicate Circle, you will help us program exciting repertoire that has less commercial appeal to the general public. Your gift will provide us with the financial assurance to take artistic risks. You will contribute to the international reputation of the national company by co-producing new productions with prestigious opera houses around the world, and enable us to attract the best singers, conductors and directors to Australia (Jonas Kaufmann, The Parsifal Syndicate 2017; Pietari Inkinen and Stefan Vinke, The Meistersinger Syndicate 2018; William Kentridge, The Wozzeck Syndicate 2018)
Each year, you will embark on a journey and follow the creative process of a new production. You will be invited to closed rehearsals, behind-the-scenes events, and will have opportunities to meet the artists and creative teams for an ‘up close and personal experience’.
