Why do you do the job that you do? I love to sing, act, dance; I love to perform!

Who has influenced you most professionally? My dad talked me out of becoming a lawyer and told me to follow my dream. Thanks Dad x.

Is there any other profession that you would have liked to have followed? For a while I was thinking about Communications, Media/TV but I am more than happy with where I am today.

What is your idea of perfect happiness? A life well-lived, a family well-loved, a career well-fulfilled and a lamb roast in the oven!

If you could have dinner with a historical figure, who would it be? Dame Nellie Melba.

What is your greatest extravagance? Diamonds Darling.

One thing you regret is…Not being able to take my puppy dog Larry with me overseas.

If you could have any opera character as a friend, who would it be? Manon. She is a fascinating fusion of many different women and she has inspired many composers.

Who or what is the love of your life? My husband Paul and our nine-year-old son, Ben. (Pictured right)

What are you optimistic about? Everything, mostly...

You would like to devote more time too… Exercise, especially the “huff & puff” kind... I think they call that “cardio”?

What is your favourite food? This question is impossible to answer! Where do I begin?

What is your most treasured possession? My family (although they’re not “possessions”) and our home in Sydney.

Which is the opera that got you hooked? Carmen, full of brilliant music that has withstood the test of time.

Which opera do you never need to hear again? I don’t want to offend anyone... but to be really honest, I love a good melody... so anything atonal turns me right off!

If there’s one quote that really speaks to you it’s…”If you knew nothing was impossible, what would you do?”

What is your idea of misery? Being trapped.

You still hope to…Live in the French countryside one day.

Which characteristics do you most admire in others? Honesty and sparkling eyes (the window to the soul).

You feel guilty when you think about... Chocolate – a minute on the lips, a life-time on the hips...

What type of holiday do you most enjoy? Beachside with nothing to do... bliss.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I need to learn to laugh more at life and not take things so seriously... on the physical side, I’d love longer legs!

Who is your favourite band? The Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

You spend too much money on… Great restaurants and fine wine.

Your greatest achievement has been... Having Ben.

The book everyone loved but you could not finish was... The Bible.

What is your favourite kitchen appliance? My husband comes in handy sometimes...

Who is your favourite heart throb? David Hobson, he does a fine waltz!
