Why do you do the job that you do? I love to sing and to be able to earn a living doing something I love, is a gift and a blessing.

Who has influenced you most professionally? My husband and my mum.

Is there any other profession that you would have liked to have followed? Ministry.

What is your idea of perfect happiness? Having both a performing career and a wonderful home life.

What is your greatest extravagance? Flying home to Melbourne from London each year for Christmas.

One thing you regret is… not concentrating in German at school. Learning German earlier in my life would really have helped!

If you could have any opera character as a friend, who would it be? Lucia di Lammermoor, what a heart-breaking life she had. She really needed a friend whose first priority was her.

Who or what is the love of your life? My gorgeous husband!

What are you optimistic about? My future.

You would like to devote more time to… exercise.

What is your favourite food? Pizza.

What is your most treasured possession? My family.

Which is the opera that got you hooked?  Lucia di Lammermoor.

If there’s one quote that really speaks to you it’s… “Take courage through pain.”

You still hope to…visit New York City for New Years Eve.

Which characteristics do you most admire in others? Emotional strength.

What type of holiday do you most enjoy? A beach, surf, sun, and room service!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I’d be more optimistic about today.

Who is your favourite band? Offspring.

You spend too much money on… flights.

Your greatest achievement has been... finding the right balance in the juggle of a singing life and a home life.

What is your favourite kitchen appliance? Microwave.

How do you stay up to date with new technology and trends? My friends keep me hooked up with the best gadgets.
