From the opening notes of Verdi's most famous overture, you are swept up in The Force of Destiny, an action-packed melodrama of passion, honour, vendetta and death. Leonora and Alvaro love one another but her family is set against the match. They prepare to elope but are instead caught up in war.
This thrilling new production uses the powerful iconography of Spain in richly detailed sets and costumes. An all-star international cast is led by Svetla Vassileva.
