A riotous evening of fabulous French opera

Rameau Anacréon
Vinci Erighetta e Don Chilone
Rameau Pigmalion

Celebrate the delights of love and booze this winter as we present an impeccably crafted triple bill curated by our artistic director Erin Helyard.  Featuring two exquisite French acte de ballets by Rameau together with an Italian intermezzo, Erighetta e Don Chilone by Leonardo Vinci.  Anacréon and Pigmalion have been long recognised as some of Rameau’s best operatic work, and the finest period instruments ensembles across the world are rediscovering Vinci’s masterworks.  We are delighted to present these to you.

These three perfect operatic miniatures are sparkling, diverting, lyrical pieces centered on short stories that revolve around the themes of love, wine and pleasure.

Much loved soprano Taryn Fiebig leads an outstanding cast of party-goers including Richard Anderson (Ormindo), and making their Pinchgut Opera debuts British tenor Samuel Boden and Australian sopranos Lauren Zolezzi and Morgan Balfour.
