Andrew Broadbent

Performer, musician and teacher, Andrew Broadbent is a graduate of both The University of Melbourne (B.Ed. Music) and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (B.A. Music Theatre).

He has previously worked for OA/GFO in South Pacific and Julie Andrews’ 60th anniversary production of My Fair Lady. He notched up over 1,000 performances in the original Australian cast of The Book of Mormon and has created roles in world premiere productions of Ladies in Black (QTC/MTC), Dirty Dancing (JEL), Ned – A New Australian Musical (Capitol Events) and Rendez-vous: an opera noir (Black Swan/Tura Events).

Andrew has appeared in major Australian tours of Mary Poppins (Michael Cassel Group), Love Never Dies, (Really Useful), The Addams Family and Jersey Boys (Newtheatricals), and Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Backrow). Andrew was also part the Green Room Award-winning actor/musician ensemble cast of Once (MTC/GFO). A semi-regular for The Production Company, credits there include Show BoatGuys & DollsThe Pirates of Penzance; SugarDirty Rotten Scoundrels; Damn YankeesCamelot and South Pacific. Andrew has performed for Black Swan Theatre Company in The Merry-Go-Round in the Sea and The Hayloft Project/Critical Stages’ Delectable Shelter. He has also appeared on ABC TV series It’s a Date and The Doctor Blake Mysteries.
