Brent Hill
Brent Hill is a multiple award-winning Australian actor/artist/performer whose work spans theatre, musical theatre, and international touring productions. Most recently, he appeared as Gideon in BBC Studios’ Ghosts, and finished a four year run as King George in the Tony®, Grammy®, Olivier and Pulitzer Prize winning masterwork, Hamilton – rehearsing the international company at 42nd St Studios on Broadway, and touring Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore.
Previously, he starred as Dewey Finn in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s School of Rock, earning the 2019 Helpmann Award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Musical. Other notable musical theatre credits include Little Shop of Horrors for Luckiest Prods, in which he performed the dual roles of Seymour and Audrey II simultaneously. For this performance, he received the Sydney Theatre Award (Judith Johnson Award) for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Musical and nominations for both a Helpmann Award and a Green Room Award.
Brent’s extensive theatre credits include An Ideal Husband and Vivid White for Melbourne Theatre Company, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui and Chimerica for Sydney Theatre Company, and Mr Burns for Company B Limited. He was part of the international touring cast of Once (dir. John Tiffany), and appeared in the Australian production for MTC and GFO, receiving a Green Room Award for Best Ensemble and an individual Helpmann nomination. His portrayal of Lonny in the Australian premiere of Rock of Ages earned him a Green Room Award for Best Leading Actor and a Helpmann nomination.
Additional credits include Pirates of Penzance, Jerry’s Girls and The Producers for The Production Company, and Twelfth Night for Bell Shakespeare.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Arts (Performing Arts) from Curtin University, trained in France with mentor Philippe Gaulier, is a WAAPA Acting graduate, and a National Theatre Sports Champion alumni.
