Carmel Rodrigues

Born to parents with Portuguese, Indian and European heritage and raised in Sydney, Carmel has been performing from a young age. She might be familiar to audiences from when she appeared in 2016 as a semi-finalist on season five of The Voice, where she was coached by Jessie J and the Madden Brothers. Carmel played the lead role of Tracy Turnblad in the Tony Award-winning production of Hairspray in 2022. In 2024, Carmel joined the Australian National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen, as Alana Beck, and the Michael Cassel production of a (Very) Merry Christmas.
