Darcy Carroll

Darcy Carroll is an Australian Bass-Baritone. He holds a Masters of Opera Performance from the University of Melbourne (2020). He was the recipient of the 2021 German Australian Opera Grant and spent 2022-2024 in Germany as a member of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden solo ensemble during which time he performed several roles, including Pistola in Verdi’s Falstaff, Speaker/First priest/Second armored man in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Dr Kolenaty in Janacek’s Vec Makropulos.

Over the course of 2025, Darcy has enjoyed his return to Melbourne stages, most recently performing the roles of Al the American/Tweedledum in Victorian Opera’s production of Boojum!, Konrad Nachtigall in Melbourne Opera’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, and John Falstaff in Lyster Opera’s The Merry Wives of Windsor.

Darcy is thrilled to be joining the company of The Phantom of the Opera, with his last foray into Music Theatre being in 2019, as a member of the ensemble in TEG Life Like Company’s production of Sweeney Todd.
