Eugene Raggio

Eugene Raggio recently toured the German-speaking world in the title role of Das Phantom der Oper (Arndt/Gerber) for ASA Events. He also debuted as Wotan in Das Rheingold in Berlin with Byron Knutson conducting. Earlier in 2025, he covered the role of Hans Sachs in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg for Melbourne Opera.
His many onstage credits include national tours for Opera Australia in La bohème and Hansel and Gretel, a national tour singing the title role in Eugene Onegin (Co-Opera), Colline (La bohème) for Central Coast Opera and Scarpia (Tosca) for Outlaw Opera
He also performed Hidraot in Gluck’s Armide for the Yorke Trust Summer Opera in North Norfolk, UK.
Eugene’s international concert engagements have included Rosenkrantz Basilika’s Krönungsmesse (Berlin) and Messiah (London); in Australia, he has appeared as soloist in Bach’s Magnificat and Orff’s Carmina Burana in Melbourne and Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem in Sydney.
He is an Honours graduate of the Elder Conservatorium (Adelaide) and the founding conductor of the Australian Remembrance Orchestra.
