Joel Scott

Australian born tenor Joel Scott graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Performance) and an Advanced Diploma of Opera. He was awarded the German-Australian Opera grant to undertake a season at the Hessiches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. There he debuted as: Tamino Die Zauberflöte, Annas Jesus Christ Superstar, Flavio Norma, Roderigo Otello, Der Steuermann Die Fliegende Holländer, Heinrich der Schreiber Tannhaüser, Vana Kudrjas Kata kabanova. While in Wiesbaden he was also engaged as part of the Maifestspiel where he shared the stage with such people as: Gregory Kunde, Klaus Florian-Vogt and Vida Miknevičiūtė. For the following season he was then engaged by the Theater am Goetheplatz Bremen where he increased his repertoire with: Jaquino Fidelio, Pedrillo Die Entführung Aus dem Serail, Monostatos Die Zauberflöte, Tapioca L’Etoile.
