Australian lyric soprano Kiandra Howarth’s most recent performances include Piramo in Hasse’s Piramo e Tisbe at Cadogan Hall, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni for Guangzhou Opera House and role debuts as Woglinde/Freia in Das Rheingold at the 2019 Grimeborn Festival. Future appearances include First Lady in Die Zauberflöte at the Royal Opera Covent Garden, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte for Teatro Regio di Torino, Magda in La Rondine forTeatro Lirico di Cagliari and Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis with the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra.



Earlier performances include Donna Anna in Don Giovanni at Opéra national de Lorraine, Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and Theatre Basel; Zweites Blumenmädchen in Parsifal at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and Berliner Philharmonie; Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail for The Grange Festival; Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and Mimi in La bohème at Stadttheater Klagenfurt.



Kiandra was a member of the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden from 2013-15; she performed and covered many roles including: Juliette Roméo et Juliette, Susanna Le nozze di Figaro, Gilda Rigoletto, Mimi La bohème, Nannetta Falstaff, Ilia Idomeneo, Pamina Die Zauberflöte, Zweiten Blumenmädchen Parsifal, Echo Ariadne auf Naxos, Fiordiligi Così fan tutte, Adina L’elisir d’amore and Soeur Constance Les Dialogues des Carmélites. She was then awarded the ‘Culturarte Prize’ in the 23rd Edition of Plácido Domingo’s Operalia.



Her professional career began as a Young Artist at Opera Queensland and Opera Australia; her international debut took place in Tokyo where she sang Norina in Don Pasquale for Opera Australia. 



Now based in the UK, Kiandra continues to perform regularly throughout Australasia. More recent appearances include Mozart’s Requiem with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi for West Australian Opera, Mahler’s Symphony No.2 with the Sydney and West Australian Symphony Orchestras and Cupid/Venus King Arthur for the 2016 Brisbane Baroque Festival.
