Kiira Schmidt Carper’s Broadway credits include Follies (2011 revival), Anything Goes (2011 revival), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2012 revival), Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (2008 and 2009 limited engagements), No No Nanette (NYCC) and Stairway to Paradise (NYCC). Kiira’s U.S. National tours credits include Fame, Crazy for You and A Chorus Line and international credits include Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Edinburgh, Scotland), Broadway Asia’s Real to Reel (Beijing, China) and Linzer Klangwolke 2023 (Linz, Austria). Select regional credits include Mame (The Kennedy Center), Cats (The MUNY), A Chorus Line (The MUNY), The Bandwagon (The Old Globe), Oklahoma (Papermill Playhouse), West Side Story (Barrington Stage), White Christmas (The Fox Theater), Sweet Charity (Gateway Playhouse), Chicago (Riverside Theater), Damn Yankees, Gypsy, Show Boat and Grease. Kiira has also been the Associate Choreographer to Joshua Bergasse in recreating the work of Jerome Robbins in West Side Story at Teatro Lirico—Sardinia, Italy, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, Barrington Stage, The North Carolina Theater, The Fulton Theater and WSS 50th Anniversary flash mob in Times Square, NYC in 2011. Kiira currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre Dance in the Department of Drama at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY where she just co-directed and choreographed Head Over Heels.
