Rebecca Luton

Rebecca began her musical life in Brisbane, learning to play the horn at age nine, and enjoyed playing with the Queensland Youth Orchestra as a teenager. Her Bachelor of Music was completed at the Queensland Conservatorium with Peter Luff and Ysolt Clark, after which she moved to Melbourne to study at the Australian National Academy of Music with Ben Jacks and Andrew Bain. She continued her studies in Berlin at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler under the tutelage of Stefan Dohr. Bec is now based in Melbourne, working as a freelancer and plays regularly with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria. She has also been a guest with Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
