Competition terms and conditions

  1. Promotion: Complete and submit the form to go into the draw for a chance to win the ultimate experience package at Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour: The Phantom of the Opera. There will be one competition taking place on the following date:
    1. One (1) draw on Monday 16 March 2026 for the competition entrants. One name will be drawn, and will win a prize, being one (1) The Phantom of the Opera ultimate experience package for two which includes
      • Two Premium Reserve tickets to The Phantom of the Opera (choose from Sun 26 April – Fri 1 May)
      • Principal cast meet & greet
      • 3-course dinner for two at HSBC Platinum Club
      • Two nights’ accommodation in Sydney with daily breakfast
      • A souvenir program
      • Return domestic flights for two (from any Australian capital city, up to $1,000)
  1. Prize value: The prize value for two (2) Premium Reserve tickets to Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour: The Phantom of the Operais $798; three course meal for two at HSBC Platinum Club is up to $532; A principal cast meet and greet at the performance is $500; two (2) nights’ accommodation with complimentary breakfast at the luxury Sydney hotel is $900, and return domestic flight for 2 passengers is up to $1,000. The prize is not transferable, divisible or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Promoter reserves the right to supply an alternative prize of similar monetary value. Total prize of all the competitions won’t exceed $100,000.
    1. Opera Australia accepts the Companion Card for carers to attend each performance free of charge.
  2. Two nights’ accommodation in Sydney with our Luxury accommodation partner terms and conditions: Vouchers will be issued upon check in for two (2) daily complimentary breakfast for two guests. Accommodation available for a 2-night stay between 26 April – 2 May 2026, checking in no earlier than 26 April 2026 and checking out no later than 2 May 2026. Winner has to choose preferred accommodation date within 48 hours of being notified.
  3. Return domestic flights for two passengers: Available for domestic flights from any capital city in Australia, arriving in Sydney, up to the value of $1000 total. Airport transfers not included. Flights to Sydney must depart between 26 April – 2 May 2026.
  4. Promoter: The Promoter is Opera Australia (ABN 26 000 755 153) of The Opera Centre, 480 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010.
  5. Promotion period: The Promotion will commence on Monday 19 January 2026 at 12:01am AEDT and will close on Friday 13 March 2026 at 5pm AEDT.
  6. Eligibility: Entry is open to people aged 18 years or over, who live in Australia and have successfully completed and submitted the Opera Australia competition entry form during the promotional period.
  7. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
  8. The competition is not open to employees of Opera Australia, their families (including de facto spouses) or to other persons assisting with the competition.
  9. By entering this competition, the entrant agrees to receive emails from Opera Australia in regards to this competition. The competition entrant may unsubscribe at any time.
  10. Draw: one competition draw will be conducted at the head office of the Promoter, located at The Opera Centre, 480 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010 as follows:
    1. The competition will be drawn on 16 March 2026, the names of all the eligible entrants who completed and submitted the competition form before 5pm AEDT on 13 March 2026 will go into an electronic drawing system. The first name drawn will win the prize.
  11. Notification: The winners will be notified via email.
  12. Incomplete and incomprehensible entries and entries with defamatory or offensive content or incorrect contact details are not eligible to win. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for misdirected, lost or delayed entries and entries not received for any reason during the promotion period, or for any technical difficulties with entry.
  13. Any entrant who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry process in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process, will be ineligible to win.
  14. All prizes must be taken as stated. The judge's decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. No prohibited prizes will be given away.
  16. The Promoter will not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury which results directly or indirectly from the competition, except that which cannot be excluded by law.
  17. Opera Australia is authorised under NSW Permit TP/00452 to conduct this competition.
