Claire Patti-Chehade

Claire Patti-Chehade is an Australian operatic soprano of Italian and Lebanese descent who performs in Australia and Europe. Claire completed a Bachelor of Music Education and Classical Voice at Sydney Conservatorium of Music where she was awarded the Helen Meyers Scholarship. She was a sponsored young artist in Pacific Opera and a semi-finalist in the Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship 35 and Under.

Claire made her Opera Australia debut performing the role of Rosina, Donna Bartola and Donna Basilia in the Opera Australia NSW Schools Company production of The Barber of Seville. She has performed the roles of Belinda and the Second Woman in Dido and Aeneas, Gilda in Rigoletto, Musetta in La Bohème in Europe, as well as the roles of Saffi in Der Zigeunerbaron, Frasquita in Carmen, Diane in Orphée aux Enfers and Adina in l’elisir d’amore in Sydney, Australia. As an oratorio soloist, she has performed the soprano solos including but not limited to J.S. Bach’s Cantata BWV 51 Jauchzet Gott in Allen Landen, G.F. Händel’s Messiah, J.S. Bach’s St John Passion and A. Vivaldi’s Gloria. Claire made a television appearance singing on the series Married at First Sight, and has been touring as a soprano soloist with The Proms – A Musical Spectacular across the east coast of Australia. In 2023, Claire will make her debut as Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor and will cover the role of Violetta in La Traviata.
