Eric Sean Fogel

This season, Eric is directing new productions of Song Bird (Kennedy Center),  Barber of Seville (Opera Theatre of Saint Louis) and Rock Me Amadeus Live!. He is also choreographing new productions of Pagliacci and La Calisto (Gllimmerglass Festival) and Klangwolke ‘23  (Linz, Austria). Eric was recently the Revival Director for Norma (Metropolitan Opera), Candide! (Glimmerglass Festival) and West Side Story (Lyric Opera of Chicago, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari). World Premiere credits include Songbird and The Odyssey (Glimmerglass Festival), The Lion, Unicorn and Me (Kennedy Center), Artus, Excalibur (St. Gallen) and Princess (XSBN China). Other notable productions include Candide!  (Théâtre du Capitole, Opera National de Bordeaux, Los Angeles Opera), Florencia en el Amazonas (Chicago Lyric Opera), Samson and Delilah, The Little Prince and La Forza del Destino (Kennedy Center- WNO), Pearl Fishers (Houston Grand Opera), Le Nozze di Figaro (Opera Philadelphia) and Moscow Cheryomushki  (Chicago Opera Theatre). For the past 14 years Eric has been Head of Stage Movement and Choreography at the Glimmerglass Festival.

Eric is also on staff at the Metropolitan Opera as a Guest Stage Director.
