Kara Sims

Born in Melbourne, Kara (She/Her) completed her full-time training as a scholarship student at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance. Soon after, Kara made her music theatre debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical as part of the original Australian cast and Green Room nominated ensemble (understudying Arabia and Baby Doll, Global Creatures).

Prior to graduating, Kara originated the role of Billie in A Sharp Intake of Breath as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival and the lead role of Max in Suddenly: A Short New Musical, a film released in 2021.

Proudly Filipino-Australian, Kara was a semi-finalist in the inaugural AOC Initiative in 2020 and is a member of MEAA.
