Lauren Fagan
Australian soprano Lauren Fagan, who studied at Guildhall, London, was a member of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme (2014–16), where roles included Oscar (Un ballo in maschera), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica) and various others. In 2023/24, she debuts as Gutrune (Götterdämmerung) for Zurich Opera under Gianandrea Noseda, returns as Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) at the Royal Opera House under Mark Wigglesworth and sings Agnès (Written on Skin) with Orchestre National de Lille.
In past seasons, Fagan received acclaim as Margarita Xirgu (Ainadamar) for Scottish Opera, Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) under Dalia Stasevska and Avis (The Wreckers) conducted by Robin Ticciati for Glyndebourne Festival, Violetta (La traviata) at the State Opera South Australia and Norma (7 Deaths of Maria Callas) for both Paris Opera and the Bayerische Staatsoper.
In Australia, Fagan has sung Beethoven’s Ah! Perfido with Sydney Symphony Orchestra under Simone Young and Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with Adelaide Symphony Orchestra under Dane Lam.
