Nathan Stafford
21-year-old Nathan Stafford began his training in performing arts at the age of 9. He gained professional experience from a young age, performing as Toby in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (dir. Roger Hodgman) and Friedrich Von Trapp in Adelaide’s production of The Sound of Music (dir. Jeremy Sams). After graduating high school as College Dux, Nathan received the Melbourne Chancellor’s Scholarship to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). In Nathan’s second year of study, he understudied the role of John Brooke in Little Woman (dir. Theresa Borg), and performed in Heathers (dir. Alister Smith) and Marry Me a Little (dir. Tyran Parke). Nathan is thrilled to be joining the company of Opera Australia and GWB entertainment in making his professional debut in Sunset Boulevard (dir. Paul Warwick Griffin). He is grateful for his time spent at VCA and his early training through Total Image Dance Centre (TIDC) and Adelaide Youth Theatre. He would like to thank all his family, past and present teachers of the performing arts, for their love, support, encouragement and training.
