Sabina Myers

Sabina is a costume and set designer for theatre, opera, film and television. She is a recent graduate of NIDA.

In 2016 she was a recipient of the William Fletcher Foundation Award for stage design, and the Australian Production Design Guild Award for ‘Emerging Designer for Live Performance’ for her NIDA production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Iain Sinclair). Other theatre credits include set and costume design for Woyzeck (NIDA, dir. John Sheedy), and The Van De Maar Papers (An Assorted Few, dir. Alexander Berlage).

Screen credits include work as assistant to costume designer Edie Kurzer on Picnic at Hanging Rock (FremantleMedia/Foxtel), design for recent short films: Sink (costume and production design, for Billfilms), Fitting (production design, for Cosmia Films) playing at major Australian and international festivals, as well as music videos for Willow Beats’ Be Kind to Yourself, and Sheppard’s Coming Home.

Sabina recently worked with director Constantine Costi to create new costumes for OA’s 2019 revival of Elijah Moshinsky’s production of Werther, and assisted set designer Michael Scott-Mitchell on digital concept art for Madame Butterfly.
