Scott lives in New York and has designed lighting for theatre, dance, and opera throughout the world. Opera highlights include Miss Fortune for Bregenzer Festspiele and Royal Opera House, The Magic Flute for Canadian Opera Company, L’Orfeo for English National Opera, Lucia di Lammermoor for Houston Grand Opera and New York City Opera, Matsukaze for Lincoln Center Festival, La traviata for Lithuanian National Opera, La Commedia for De Nederlandse Opera, Red Waters for Opera de Rouen Haute Normandie, The Bonesetter’s Daughter for San Francisco Opera, and Facing Goya for Spoleto Festival USA and Singapore Arts Festival, among others.
In New York he designed productions for Broadway, Lincoln Center, and The Public Theatre, among many others. His designs have also been seen extensively at theatres throughout many other cities in the United States. Scott received his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design at the Yale University School of Drama. Turandot on Sydney Harbour was his Opera Australia debut.
