Vladimir Fanshil
Conductor
Born into a musical family in Odessa, Vladimir grew up in Australia before following his passion to study conducting at the St Petersburg Conservatoire, Russia. After his studies he became a sought-after assistant conductor, resulting in a four-year mentorship with Iván Fischer. His time assisting spanned the world’s most spectacular halls, top orchestras and a vast range of repertoire. He became a well-loved part of the Budapest Festival Orchestra and Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin.
Following the mentorship, his own career began to flourish with concerts with the Luxembourg Philharmonic, Mariinsky Orchestra, in Odessa (both at the Opera and Philharmonic), at the Paris Philharmonie, with the Bilkent Symphony in Ankara and others. Vladimir fuses Eastern European passion with Western finesse, boldly inspiring both musicians and audiences with his musical vision. During the coronavirus pandemic Vladimir turned his attention to bringing salon-style concerts to new audiences, and harnessed his entrepreneurship skills to found Australia’s fastest growing live musical company Live at Yours.
