Sarah Sweeting

Sarah Sweeting


Born in England, Sarah has enjoyed an extensive operatic career in the UK and Europe. Her roles have included Liù, Turandot (Opera Holland Park), Leonora, Il trovatore (Opera Holland Park, English Festival Opera and Lyric Opera Dublin) and Carmen at the London Opera Festival.

With Travelling Opera UK , Sarah has, on occasion, performed certain roles over 100 times, such as, Fiordiligi, Così fan tutte, Donna Elvira, Don Giovanni, Countess Almaviva, The Marriage of Figaro, Musetta, La bohème.

A soloist at the Royal Opera House, Linbury Theatre for the Covent Garden Festival and a principal member of the Royal Carl Rosa Opera Company.

West End musicals include Hello Dolly, The Pirates of Penzance at the London Palladium, (Edith and Isabel).

Australia credits include Opera Queensland (Orlofsky, Die Fledermaus and Third Lady, Magic Flute), for SOSA (Alma March, Little Women) and Co*Opera (Suzuki, Madama Butterlfy), State Theatre Sydney, Dead Man Walking, Sister Lillian.

For Opera Australia, Sarah has been a member of the chorus as well as performing Annina and Flora (La Traviata) with Oz Opera and Annina in Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour - La Traviata.

International Festival credits include The Holders Festival in Barbados, the role of Carmen, Nusantara Symphony Orchestra in Jakarta, La Ciesca, Gianni Schicchi,  Le Converse, Suor Angelica (Macau).
