Win a picnic on the Madama Butterfly on Sydney Harbour stage

Experience Australia’s greatest outdoor event from a new perspective, with three of your closest friends.

Each year an enormous stage materialises at Mrs Macquaries Point for Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour. This year, for Madama Butterfly, the unique design features a giant grassy hill, complete with a bamboo garden, representing a “lost paradise”.

To celebrate this extraordinary event, we’re offering the chance to win a money-can’t-buy experience: an on-stage, pre-show picnic for four. From the stage, which is two times larger than any indoor stage in Australia, you’ll have unparalleled views of Sydney Harbour as the sun sets, and across the whole Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour site.

We’ll be selecting four winners, who can each bring three friends to enjoy this unique prize. Each winner will receive:

An on-stage picnic for four, from 5pm to 6pm on Thursday 13 April. They’ll receive two Japanese Hampers and a bottle of sparkling wine.
Four tickets to attend that night’s performance.

To enter the competition, tell us which three friends you’d bring to the picnic and why. Entries close at 9am Tuesday 11 April, with winners notified at 5pm that day.
