Alexander Vinogradov

Alexander Vinogradov made his debut at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow as Oroveso in “Norma” at the age of 21. Since then he has established a remarkable career and he is a regular guest at the leading opera houses in the world, including Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra National de Paris, Théâtre du Châtelet de Paris, Staatsoper Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opernhaus Zürich, Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Palau de les Arts de Valencia, Teatro Real de Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Bayerische Staatsoper, Dresden Semperoper, Staatsoper Hamburg, New National Theatre Tokyo, Teatro Colòn de Buenos Aires, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Arena di Verona.

He worked with such conductors as Daniel Barenboim, Myung-Whun Chung, Gustavo Dudamel, Valerij Gergeev, Mariss Jansons, Philippe Jordan, Vladimir Jurowski, Lorin Maazel, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Gianandrea Noseda, Antonio Pappano, VasilyPetrenko, Helmuth Rilling, Yuri Temirkanov, Zubin Mehta.

His acclaimed performances include Carmen(Escamillo) and Roméo et Juliette (Frère Laurent) at Teatro alla Scala, Lucia di Lammermoor (Raimondo) and Luisa Miller (Conte Walter) at The Metropolitan Opera, Die Zauberflöte (Sarastro) and Evgenij Onegin (Gremin) at Teatro Regio di Torino, Faust (Méphistopélès) at Atlanta Opera, Ernani (Don Ruy Gomez) at Opéra de Monte-Carlo and at Opéra de Marseille, Carmen, La bohème (Colline) and The Tzar’s Bride at ROH Covent Garden London, Le Nozze di Figaro (Figaro), Don Giovanni  (Leporello), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Basilio) and Die Zauberflöte (Sarastro) at Staatsoper Berlin, Macbeth (Banco), Nabucco (Zacharia) and Simon Boccanegra (Jacopo Fiesco) at Staatsoper Hamburg, Les Vêpres siciliennes (Procida) at Palau de Les Arts de Valencia, La damnation de Faust (Méphistophélès) at Bolshoi Theatre, Don Carlo (Filippo II) at Teatro Colòn de Buenos Aires, at Los Angeles Opera and at Palau de Les Arts de Valencia.

Active also on the concert stage, he has sung Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven’s IX Symphony under the batons of Daniel Barenboim, Lawrence Foster and Myung-Whun Chung and Zubin Mehta, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks under the baton of Mariss Jansons , at Festival Verdi in Parma with Lorin Maazel and at Vienna Opera with Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala under Barenboim, Shostakovich’ Symphonies No. 13&14 with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Vassily Petrenko, Shostakovich’ Symphony n.13 at Opéra National de Paris, Mussorgsky’s Songs and Dances of Death at  Opéra de Lyon and Danish Radio, Missa solemnis with Helmuth Rilling in Stuttgart, Rachmaninov The Bells with Kitajenko, as well as concerts with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester and Montreal Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kent Nagano and the London Philharmonic Orchestra with Vladimir Jurowski.
