Annie Aitken

Annie Aitken is a critically acclaimed Australian leading lady, having captivated audiences across Australia and the UK. Recently starring as Cunégonde in Candide for State Opera South Australia & State Theatre SA, and previously at the Sydney Opera House for Sydney Philharmonia Choirs. Annie gained recognition for her portrayal of Millie Dillmount in Thoroughly Modern Millie (TPC).

UK credits include Hedy LaRue in How to Succeed (Southwark Playhouse) and Madame in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Hope Mill Theatre). She was hand-picked by composer
Frank Wildhorn to be Lucy Harris in Jekyll & Hyde London premiere development (Lambert Jackson) and performed with him at Cadogan Hall.

Australian credits include Nellie Melba, Melba (Hayes – Sydney Theatre Award nomination) Muriel’s Wedding (STC/Global Creatures), Evangeline Barley – A Gentleman’s Guide, Oklahoma! (TPC), The Sound of Music (GFO/RUG), Anything Goes (OA/GFO), Sweet Charity (Luckiest/Tinderbox), Sarah – Rolling Thunder Vietnam (Blake Entertainment), Paulette – Legally Blonde (HAMA). Annie is a VCA MT Graduate and 2018 recipient of the prestigious Rob Guest Endowment Award.
