Gianluca Terranova

Roma-born tenor Gianluca Terranova is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after lyric tenors with his ease in the high register and great stage presence. He has performed with such opera houses as Teatro alla Scala, Los Angeles Opera, Opera Australia in Sydney and Melbourne, Grand Theatre of Shanghai, Grand Theatre of Hong Kong, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Frankfurt Opera, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Arena di Verona, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, working with such conductors as James Conlon, Myung Wung Chung, Nicola Luisotti and Zubin Mehta.

Recent engagements have included Rigoletto (Duca di Mantova) in Rome, Leipzig, Liège, Duesseldorf and Duisburg, La traviata (Alfredo) in Duisburg, Lucia di Lammermoor (Edgardo) in Genova and La bohème (Rodolfo) in Grange Park. He stars as Enrico Caruso in the Italian TV-movie Caruso, la voce dell’amore. In July 2015 he released his new solo album for Warner Classics: Gianluca Terranova Recital.
