Background: Based in Auckland. Began design career at Theatre Corporate in 1977. Received Arts Council Grant in 1981, enabling study in Europe and the United States.  Head of Design at Mercury Theatre, 1982.  Freelance designer in Toronto and later New York, 1985; since then has been freelancing for film, television and commercial design
