Isabel Morse

Isabel studied violin at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music with John Glickman and Christopher Martin and played in various chamber music groups including the Melbourne Musicians, Melbourne Chamber Ensemble and Astra Chamber Orchestra. She became a member of the Elizabethan Trust Orchestra and moved to Sydney to join the Sydney Trust Orchestra. She then joined the Australian Chamber Orchestra and played with them for ten years. During this time, the orchestra toured extensively within Australia and internationally to Europe, United States, Japan, China and South East Asia. Isabel started playing viola during this time and worked with the Sydney Dance Company, UNSW Ensemble, Seymour Group, Sydney Symphony and Opera and Ballet Orchestra as Acting Associate Principal Viola on several occasions. Now based in Melbourne, Isabel works regularly with the Melbourne Symphony and Orchestra Victoria. She has also performed with Opera Australia’s National Touring productions of La Traviata, Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro and Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
