Jessica Harper

Born and raised in Sydney Australia, soprano Jessica Harper studied at the ANU School of Music, was a Young Artist with Pacific Opera (2014, 2015), and held the Dame Nellie Melba Scholarship with the Melba Opera Trust in 2018. After relocating to Europe Jessica completed her Postgraduate Concert Soloist Diploma summa cum laude at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp in 2022.

Internationally Jessica created and performed the role of Schein/Ego Fluens: chasing waterfalls at the Semperoper Dresden and has performed as the Soprano Soloist in Mahler’s Fourth Symphony at Theater Magdeburg. She was the Soprano Soloist for Strauss’ Vier Letzte Lieder with the symphony orchestra of KU Leuven. Jessica sung scenes as Lady Macbeth Macbeth at the Opéra Royale de Wallonie (2026) in concert.

Jessica had the honour of creating the title role in Miss Brill with the Omega Ensemble in 2018. She joins the Opera Australia 2027/28 season as Amelia (cover) Un Ballo in Maschera, and Elisabeth (cover) Tannhäuser.
