Laura Tipoki

Laura Tipoki of Maori heritage was raised in a very musical family. Laura was Music Director of the Australian and New Zealand production of Hamilton and is Co-Supervisor for the International Tour.

Laura worked on Andrew Lloyd Weber’s School Of Rock, Wizard Of Oz with Anthony Warlow, My Fair Lady as Music Director for the return Sydney season, and Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Misérables International Tour and the Australian tour. Other credits include Wicked, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Love Never Dies, and Dr Zhivago, Mary Poppins and Chicago as keyboardist or Associate Music Director.

Laura was Music Director for her sister Patrice Tipoki’s debut album A Musical Heart. Laura was keyboardist on the Love Never Dies DVD recorded and filmed during the Melbourne season in 2012.

Laura is thrilled to make her conducting debut at the Sydney Opera House as Music Director for Cameron Mackintosh’s Miss Saigon. She dedicates this experience to her mother who gave her life, and her daughter who gives her life.
