Background: Joined The Australian Opera Chorus in 1973 for the opening of the Opera House. Performed as a principal singer for a number of years before accepting the position of Resident Director in 1989





OA repertoire: Roles include: Gretel: Hansel and Gretel, Anne Truelove: The Rake's Progress, Blonde: Abduction from the Seraglio, Papagena: Magic Flute, title role: Patience, Yum-Yum: Mikado, Hodel: Fiddler on the Roof, Jano/Karolka: Jenufa, Vixen: Cunning Little Vixen, Despina: Così fan tutte, Natasha: War and Peace, Javotte: Manon. As Resident Director, operas include: Romeo and Juliet, Mikado, Gondoliers, Dialogue of the Carmelites, Rigoletto, Magic Flute, Merry Widow, Aida, Tosca, Fidelio, Medée, Madama Butterfly, Maria Stuarda, Albert Herring, Billy Budd, Faust, Un ballo in maschera, Lucia di Lammermoor. Restudied the OA production of Rinaldo and has redirected The Pearlfishers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and New Zealand;Tosca and Romeo and Juliet in Brisbane.
