Maxim Lisiin
Baritone
Born in Russia, baritone Maxim graduated from the Khabarovsk Regional College of Arts. He studied at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow, 2020-2024 (Professor Vladimir Malchenko). In 2022 he was accepted into the Bolshoi Theatre Young Opera Singers Program. He is a laureate of the II International Sobinov Vocal Competition (2nd prize; 2021 Yaroslavl, Russia), the II Lemeshev International Competition of Young Opera Singers (1st prize; 2022, Tver, Russia 2022), the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition (2nd prize; 2023, Saint Petersburg, Russia).
He took part in the premiere performance of the Requiem (Messa di Requiem) by Gaetano Donizetti at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow (conducted by Dmitry Korchak). During the XVI Yuri Bashmet Winter International Festival of Arts, he performed the role of Papageno in Mozart’s Magic Flute in the Winter Theater of Sochi (conducted by Justus Frantz).
Debuted on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow as Flemish deputy in Verdi’s Don Carlo (2023). On this stage he also performed the Lamplighter in S. Banevich’s opera The Story of Kai and Gerda (2023) and the role of Claudio in Béatrice et Bénédict by H. Berlioz (2024) and different productions in Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theatres in 2025.
In January 2024 he debuted on the stage of The Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow as Prince Andrey Bolkonsky in Prokofiev’s War and Peace.
During the Rossini Opera Festival 2024, he performed the role of Don Alvaro in Il viaggio a Reims in Pesaro (Auditorium Scavolini).
He made his debute as Belcore in Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore” in Teatro Verdi, Salerno (2024)
