Oreste Cosimo

A member of Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, he could take part at La Scala to the productions of La traviata, Nabucco and Hänsel und Gretel, working with some of the world leading conductors as Antonio Pappano and Daniel Barendoim.
He studied piano and then he devoted himself to singing, graduating with honors from the Conservatory “Arrigo Boito” in Parma. In 2018 he moved to Vienna to study with Ramon Vargas.
Among the leading roles that has already debuted, Alfredo in La traviata (Prague, Tel Aviv), Rodolfo in La bohème (Festival Puccini, Verona), Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto (Tel Aviv), Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor (Nice, Tel Aviv), Ruggero in La rondine (Turin), Hoffmann in Les contes d’Hoffmann (Deutsche Oper Berlin), tenor solo in Verdi Requiem (Montreal).
Recent highlights are Gennaro in Lucrezia Borgia at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Rigoletto at Teatro Regio in Turin, Madama Butterfly and Gianni Schicchi in Vilnius, Florestan in Fidelio at Deutsche Oper Berlin.
