Phoebe Masel

Phoebe Masel is a violinist and teacher based in Nipaluna/Hobart. She graduated from the Australian National Academy of Music in 2021, and the University of Queensland in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music and the University Medal. Phoebe is a casual violinist with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra. She has toured nationally with Opera Australia, Australian Chamber Orchestra and Musica Viva. With Inventi Ensemble, Momentum Ensemble, and the Hartz Trio, Phoebe has performed across Australia focusing on regional outreach, educational programs and aged care initiatives. As a sought-after chamber musician, Phoebe performs regularly at the Museum of Old and New Art, Salamanca Arts Centre and is a founding member of Tasmania Collective. Phoebe recently completed a Master of Teaching at the University of Tasmania and is enthusiastic music and drama teacher. She also tutors young violinists at youth music camps and youth orchestras across Australia, and her students have won top prizes at numerous international competitions.
