Sandy Leung

Born in Hong Kong, Sandy studied at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Royal College of Music (London) and the Flanders Opera Studio (Belgium).

Sandy began working with Opera Australia in 2017 in Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour’s production of Carmen and has completed many full-time chorus seasons with the company since then.

Her operatic roles include Susanna, Pamina, Adina and Gianetta, Mařenka, Violetta, Mimi, Lucy etc. Sandy also sang in the Royal Overseas League Arts Concert Series at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the role of Tiny in Britten’s Paul Bunyan in the Dartington International Festival and Princess Mi in Lehár’s The Land of Smiles with Opera Hong Kong to great critical acclaim.

Sandy has performed with Opera Hong Kong, Musica Viva, Brussels Philharmonic, The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, The City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Bach Choir.

Sandy has called Australia home since 2015.
