Sarah Zhu

Viola 

Sarah Zhu’s musical journey started at a young age on piano, before continuing on viola at age nine. As a violist Sarah has performed all across Australia as well as overseas. She was a Wesley Music Scholar in Canberra, where she grew up, and recently completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) at Sydney Conservatorium, studying under Roger Benedict and Stefanie Farrands. She has played with orchestras including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra as part of the Australian Youth Orchestra Fellowship; APEX Ensemble; Momentum Ensemble with Jack Liebeck; and Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra’s 2022 Europe tour, and she has also collaborated with award-winning composer Peter Cavallo. Her most recent chamber project included travelling to Bowral, Wollongong and Canberra as part of Inspire Music Australia’s Emerging Concert Artists series.
