Yewon Han

Yewon Han has won the “Tenor Viñas” International Singing Competition 2023 in Barcelona (first prize overall).

In the season 2025/26 she is a member of Opernhaus Zürich ensemble, where performs Gretel in a new production of Hänsel und Gretel, Poussette in Massenet’s Manon, Frasquita in Carmen, Flakermilli in Arabella and Servilia in La clemenza di Tito.

Previously she was a member of the International Opera Studio at Opernhaus Zürich.

She graduated from the College of Music of Seoul National University (Bachelor’s degree in Classical Voice) and in 2021-22 she was a member of the Young Artist Program of Korea National Opera.  Her stage debut was in 2018 with the role of Amahl in Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors at Sejong Center for the Performing.

Recent highlights include La clemenza di Tito (Servilia) and Arabella (Flakermilli) in Zurich, Mozart’s Missa brevis and Schubert’s Mass in G major at Peralada Festiva, Hamlet (Ophélie) at Buxton Festival.
