Barbara Lluch

Bárbara Lluch was born in Barcelona and studied classical acting at the Estudio Corazza in Madrid. Her acting career brought her together with directors such as Robert LePage and Maurizio Scaparro and ranged from roles such as Doña Inés at the Campañia Nacional de Teatro Clásico to parts in film and television.

She fell in love with opera in 2005, when she was asked to jump in to assist on a production of Lohengrin. She has since persued a carrer in directing and is based in London.

She has assisted extensively in Europe at houses such as, Teatro Real, La Monnaie , Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne.  Directors include Jonathan Miller, Robert Carsen, David McVicar, Elijah Moshinsky and Francesca Zambello.

Most recently she assisted on Laurent Pelly´s Cendrillon and Bob Wilson´s Pelléas et Méllisande. Future projects include reviving Don Giovanni and Salome at the Royal Opera House.
