Emma Pearson, principal artist at the Hessisches Staatstheater, Wiesbaden, Germany for nine years, and Kammersängerin, performed over thirty roles for the company and was nominated Singer of the Year by Opernwelt Magazine for the title role in Alban Berg’s Lulu.

For Opera Australia, Emma has performed Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute) Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) and Contessa di Folleville (Il viaggio à Reims).

Most recently Emma was heard as Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Violetta (La traviata) for Wellington Opera, Pamina (The Magic Flute) for Festival Opera NZ, Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), the title role in Semele and Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) for New Zealand Opera, Armida (Rinaldo) for Pinchgut Opera, Laura (Voss) for State Opera South Australia, and with the Sydney and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras.

Further international performances include engagements with Semperoper Dresden, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Theater Sankt Gallen, Orquestra de Valencia with Lawrence Foster, Slovak Philharmonic with Bertrand de Billy and Minnesota Sommerfest with Andrew Litton.
