Lorenzo Passerini

A former trombonist, he began studies in conducting in 2010 with Ennio Nicotra. He debuted in 2011 with the Antonio Vivaldi Orchestra, founded by himself. Lorenzo conducted symphonic concerts with the Milan Giuseppe Verdi Orchestra, Mexico State Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and opera productions in Turin Teatro Regio, Warsaw Wielki Theatre and Madrid Teatro Real. He will work in Naples San Carlo Theatre, Frankfurt Opera Theatre, Fortworth Symphony Orchestra, Rossini Opera Festival and Toulouse Théâtre du Capitole. He is the musical and artistic director of Antonio Vivaldi Orchestra (Italy, Lombardy).

Born in Morbegno (Sondrio, Italy) in 1991, as trombonist he played under the baton of Maestros such as Fabio Luisi and Riccardo Muti.

He began his career as conductor in December 2011, at the helm of the Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi, which he founded together with the composer Piergiorgio Ratti.

He conducted the Milan Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra, Arena di Verona Orchestra, State Orchestra of Mexico, Symphony Orchestra “New Russia” in Moscow. He also conducted Tosca at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Carmina Burana at the Warsaw Opera House, Faust and Aida at Sydney Opera House, Un ballo in maschera at the Teatro Real in Madrid and La Cenerentola at Las Palmas Theatre.

He will conduct at Theater de Champes Elysée in Paris, Frankfurt Opera House, San Carlo Opera House in Naples, Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Turku Festival in Finland and Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse.

He is the artistic and musical director of the Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi.
