Tony Llewellyn-Jones
Tony Llewellyn-Jones graduated from NIDA in 1971 and joined the Melbourne Theatre Company. In the years that followed Tony appeared in Tonight at 8.30; Much Ado About Nothing; Mother Courage; The Cherry Orchard; How Does Your Garden Grow?; The Time is Not Yet Ripe; Danton’s Death; Paying the Piper; An Ideal Husband; You Want It Don’t You Billy?; Macquarie; The Plough and The Stars; Forget-Me-Not-Lane; The Tavern; Sticks and Bones and Batman’s Beachhead. He returned to the MTC for The Visit (2003); Life x 3 (2004); Realism (2009) and, most recently, North By Northwest (2022/3).
He has appeared for the Old Tote Company, Marian Street, Nimrod, Griffin, Belvoir and Bell Shakespeare (Henry 4/5 & Much Ado About Nothing), as well as for the Sydney Theatre Company in The Crucible; Saint Joan; Life After George; Corporate Vibes; Amigos; Metamorphosis; The Tempest; King Lear and Hay Fever.
In 2012 Tony appeared in the Australian tour of Yes, Prime Minister for Guild, Woods & Bryce Productions. Tony’s numerous music theatre credits include Caroline or Change and She Loves Me (Hayes).
He has appeared in numerous television series, including Colin From Accounts; While the Men Are Away; Rake; I Spry; The Prime Minister Is Missing; Underbelly; G.P.; All Saints; Hell Has Harbour Views; BackBerner; Grass Roots; 13 Gantry Row; The Paper Boy; One Day Miller and Who Do You Think You Are?
