Walter Fraccaro is a regular guest of the most prestigious Italian and international theatres.
His vast repertoire includes between the greatest Verdian roles: Radames in Aida, Stiffelio, Foresto in Attila, Gabriele in Simon Boccanegra, Macduff in Macbeth, Alvaro in Forza del Destino, Don Carlo, Rodolfo in Luisa Miller, Manrico in Trovatore but also roles as Rodolfo in Bohème, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Faust in Mefistofele, Don Jose in Carmen, Enzo in Gioconda, Calaf in Turandot, Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut, Andrea Chenier, Dick Jonhson in Fanciulla del West, Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana.
Walter Fraccaro made his professional debut in 1994 in Nabucco at the Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona. In the previous year he was winner of the second prize as best tenor and the Placido Domingo and Montserrat Caballé Award as the best Verdi interpreter at the Francisco Viñas Competition in Barcelona.
Fraccaro debuted with Opera Australia in 2015 in Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour — Aida. His other credits include Simon Boccanegra at Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Trovatore in Oviedo, Nizza, Athens, Bassano, Padova, Tokyo, Belem (Brasil) and Mexico City; Cavalleria Rusticana at Fenice in Venice and in Tokyo; Manon Lescaut in Florence, Venice, Verona, Modena, Piacenza, Ferrara, Seville and Moscow; Mefistofele at Teatro dell’Opera in Rome; Otello in Venice, Trieste and Zurich; Aida at Terma di Caracalla in Rome, Parma, Florence, Venice, Munich and San Diego; Tosca in Zurich, Mannheim, Florence and Torre del Lago Festival; La Forza del Destino in Tokyo as part of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino’s tour and in Tel Aviv; Otello in Tokyo and Como; Turandot at the San Francisco Opera, in Menorca, at Teatro Regio in Turin, Met in New York, in Seoul, Beijing, Sejong (Korea); 2012 NYE concert at Gran Teatro la Fenice in Venice; Madama Butterfly in Nice, Athens, Antibes; Carmen in Seoul, Tenerife, Venice, Verona and Beijing; Norma in Nice; Otello and Pagliacci in San Paolo (Brazil).
Recent engagements include: Cavalleria Rusticana in Bari and Turandot in Melbourne.
