Welcome Dinner

Set among the majestic ghost gums at Sails in the Desert, as dusk has fallen, Opera Australia presents a rare and intimate performance of Mozart’s music at its enchanting best, hosted by Opera Australia’s former Artistic Director, Lyndon Terracini AM. Atmospheric lighting will set the mood when two of Australia’s finest soloists will perform Figaro, Susannah, Count and Countess singing a selection of superb arias from “The Marriage of Figaro,” giving guests a glimpse into Mozart’s genius for musical characterisation. During the evening, a gala dinner inspired by the award-winning signature dining experience, Tali Wiru, will be served, along with a range of hand-selected wine pairings in keeping with the joyful and celebratory nature of this memorable evening.

Opera Gala at Uluru

This stylish gala concert showcases opera’s best loved hits, performed in the stunning red centre of Australia. On this very special evening some of Opera Australia’s finest singers perform under the stars, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, marrying sublime music with a uniquely Australian setting. As the sun sets over the desert backdrop, the performers will be illuminated by the spellbinding colours of Field of Light Uluru’s 50,000 glass spheres.

During the concert, some of Opera Australia’s finest singers will perform famous arias from Bizet, Puccini, Rossini, Verdi and more, accompanied by a chamber orchestra and conducted by Vladimir Fanshil.
