Exchange Tickets

If you can no longer attend a performance, you may exchange your tickets to another performance, or request a gift voucher* for the value of your tickets.

You may exchange online any time right up until the performance starts. You may exchange over the phone if you call us before midday on the day of any weeknight performances, and midday Friday for weekends.

Exchanging tickets incurs a $18 fee per ticket. If you are a Season Subscriber there is no charge for exchanging tickets. You will need to pay any difference in price between the original ticket and the new ticket. If the new ticket is a lower price than the original ticket, the difference will be issued to you as a gift voucher*. Any price difference will not be refunded.

If you purchased your tickets from the performance venue or a ticketing agent, please contact them to exchange.

*Gift vouchers are valid for three years from the date of issue and can be spent on Opera Australia tickets or turned into a donation.
