Opera Australia is thrilled to welcome you to the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney for Mazda Opera in the Domain. Now in its fourteenth year with Mazda Australia and with a history stretching back to 1982, we are proud to have firmly established ourselves as one of Sydney’s much loved free outdoor events.

Community concerts like this allow us to present opera that exhilarates — while simultaneously sustaining and showcasing the art form. Under the sparkling night sky, let the beauty of music wash over you and electrify your senses.

Mazda Opera in the Domain could not take place without the community leadership of Mazda Australia. We thank them for their generous and long-standing commitment as Hero Partner and applaud them for sharing our vision to bring you some of the world’s greatest music performed by some of the greatest artists of the modern opera world.

Thank you for joining us and I trust you enjoy some of opera’s finest moments tonight.

Rory Jeffes
Chief Executive Officer, Opera Australia

On behalf of Mazda Australia, welcome to the 2020 Mazda Opera in the Domain.

A long-time supporter of the arts in Australia, Mazda has worked with Opera Australia for more than 14 years to bring the captivating and unparalleled experience of live opera to Australians. The palpable sense of emotion that opera produces is elsewhere untenable; the immense talent and passion of performers can leave an indelible mark on an audience.

Evoking such a reaction is the desire of anyone that masters a craft, and Mazda is no different. We create vehicles with the belief that the car is art, where beauty is sought through craftsmanship. Next-Gen Mazda3 is the most recent example of this, breaking from convention to realise something truly unique and beautiful.

Tonight, as you enjoy the stunning sounds of some of Australia’s most accomplished musicians, I invite you to take a look at the eye-catching Mazda3 on display, to see for yourself Mazda’s deftness for vehicle design.
