Angela Hogan
Mezzo Soprano
Angela Hogan is a member of Opera Australia’s full-time Chorus, also performing in various roles with the company.
These include Madame Dangeville in Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur, Grimgerde (Die Walküre) and 2nd Norn (Gotterdämmerung) in Wagner’s The Ring Cycle, Second Bridesmaid in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Janice Spencer in Kats-Chernin’s Whiteley and Olga Kromov in Lehar’s The Merry Widow. In November 2019 Angela performed in Opera Australia’s Opera Gala Concert at the Field of Lights in Uluru and in 2021 Angela toured Australia in the National Tour in the title role of Carmen.
Angela has also covered various roles including La Principessa in Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur, Azucena in Verdi’s Il Trovatore, Emilia in Verdi’s Otello, Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen, Maddalena in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims, Page & Slave in Strauss’ Salome, Mark Smeaton/Queen’s Page in Donizetti’s Anna Bolena and Siebel in Gounod’s Faust.
